Social Activities - see also under What's on at HLTC

The Club organises a variety of social activities, including weekly, monthly and annual events.

On Wednesday nights throughout the Summer and into the Autumn, a supper is provided for both playing and non-playing members during Social Evening.

In addition to this, we have:-

an Annual Tournament Week, staging 19 different events.
an Annual Dinner Dance. 
Themed tournaments and meals – Tennis and Thai, Tennis and Tapas, Tennis and Tequila, Tennis and Tempura, etc. For dates click here.
Various other tournaments, such as President’s Prize, Century Cup, Family Tournament.
at least 9 Junior Club Events.
a Bridge Club. 
a Golf Tournament,  held in July at Hale Golf club.

We’ve even staged drama productions in our clubhouse with professional actors!

Thanks to money raised by the 200 Club (see below), we have comfortable sofas and patio furniture, beautiful garden and indoor plants and an enormous plasma TV, where we can watch Wimbledon and other major sporting events. Our clubhouse clock was donated to the 200 Club by Allied Irish Bank.

The 200 Club

The 200 Club is a fund raising lottery which helps sponsor the purchase of equipment and materials identified by HLTC members as desirable for the successful running of HLTC and the enjoyment of its members.

Each month there is a draw with £40 and £60 prizes. Also, usually on a quarterly basis, there is a bonus draw with additional prizes of £100 and £250.

At our Annual Dinner Dance we have a a bumper draw where the £1,000 prize is at stake.

Membership costs just £24 per annum for a minimum of two draw numbers. Members can buy up to 30 numbers each. For ease of administration, payment by standing order is preferred.
